My writings

   Here lies the writings of my creative mind. I write various things, but on occasion I write books. 

    I'm currently working on an action adventure/romance novel that originated from ideas that were flowing through my mind on a warm, spring morning of this closing year. The main characters are based off real people, me being one. I'm actually the main character in the book. I'll post excerpts from time to time, and previews, etc. But I have yet to come up with a good title. I probably won't until the book is complete, but who knows. It may come to me before then.

    It's set in the small town of Riverton, Wyoming. The main character, 16 year old Amy Thornton (a.k.a. the character inspired by me), lives a normal life with school, friends, family, and a certain boy that drives her up the wall.
    Right when Amy thinks it's going to be an amazing summer with her six best friends Lynnette, Leanne, Kylie, Emily, Amber, and Kelsey, something happens that changes their lives forever.
    
    Amy receives a letter from her Aunt Candice warning her of the terrorists raiding all over the world stealing families, taking them captive if they refuse to cooperate with their plans. Only then does she realize her family is absent, and she goes mad with disbelief and panic for the remainder of the day.

    After gathering the remaining friends that weren't taken by the terrorists, Amy sets off to find the terrorist, driven by love and anger, to get her family and friends back. 

After running out of gas and money to get to their destination, they continue through the woods after achieving a map from a newcomer, Luke, that they ran into when first entering the woods. Amy immediately hates him....for now.

Amy and her friends continue on through the woods, later finding a group of six guys also in the woods on the same mission...surprised by who they turn out to be. (Sorry, not telling. It'd be a spoiler. I hate spoilers. :P )

Before they make it out of the woods and into a small town, they face various difficulties and attacks leaving a few wounded, one being Amy herself. On top of it all, Amy can't help but start to fall in love with Luke, whom she hated right off the bat for his prejudice first impression. With all that's going on, she finds it stressful and unfair to be feeling like that...but love isn't a thing you can turn on and off.

But through it all, Amy is relying on God to lead them in the right direction. 

When it seems that all hope is lost, something turns up that changes their whole outlook on their quest. They even dare to think, We have a chance.

Can Amy and her friends survive through all the hardships, and turmoils that nature and man bring upon them? Will they ever destroy the terrorists and get their families back? What am I saying...they're just six teenagers with a bunch of teenage allies...
